HOW WE CAN HELP
Emergency Response Training
Australasian Response Group (ARG) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 53037) delivering nationally recognised training for the mining, oil and gas, emergency services, and high-risk industries.
Our training combines industry knowledge with realistic, hands-on practical scenarios to develop the skills and confidence required to respond effectively in emergency situations. Courses are delivered by experienced trainers with extensive operational backgrounds, using purpose-built training facilities, and specialised emergency response equipment.
AMKUS Rescue Systems
For over 50 years, AMKUS has been one of the most trusted names in rescue tools globally – relied on by fire and rescue services around the world for power, precision, and reliability when it matters most. Every tool in the AMKUS range is built with one purpose in mind: helping emergency responders get to the people who need them, fast. That commitment to the people behind the tools is exactly why we’ve chosen AMKUS as our partner in strengthening Australian rescue capability.
Now, through Australasian Response Group and our equipment arm Rescue Systems Australia, the full AMKUS range is available locally! Backed by integrated training, responsive service, and the on-the-ground expertise Australian rescue teams have been waiting for.
Specialist Equipment and Vehicles
Rescue Systems Australia is the equipment arm of the ARG group, supplying emergency response equipment, PPE and vehicles to mining, oil and gas, and local government operations. We are the exclusive AMKUS dealer for Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.
From extrication and rope rescue through to firefighting, HAZMAT, medical and complete vehicle fit outs, we supply to the requirement rather than the catalogue. Purchase, hire and procurement support all available.
If we sell it, we use it.
Decontamination Process
Firefighters carry contaminants home on their skin and in their gear. ARG’s decontamination process is built to interrupt that, quickly and practically, without adding another burden to a crew that has just finished a job.
It starts on scene. Individual decon kits with wipes and chemical waste bags limit exposure at the point it happens, followed by full-body showers using Smoke Soap to lift toxins from the skin. Contaminated PPE is bagged and collected for professional cleaning at our facility, where hazardous residues are removed rather than redistributed.
Seventy-five percent of what we earn from decontamination services is donated to the Firefighters Cancer Foundation of Australia.
Critical Response Team
Our Critical Response Team is dedicated to delivering rapid, expert intervention during emergency situations, ensuring the safety, stability, and continuity of your operations.
Equipped with highly trained emergency response personnel and state-of-the-art equipment, our team is prepared to manage a wide range of incidents, from medical emergencies to technical rescues to hazardous environments. With a strong focus on minimising operational downtime and risk, we provide immediate support to help your organisation stabilise the situation, protect personnel, and facilitate a swift and effective recovery.
Personnel Recruitment
ARG supplies qualified emergency response and medical personnel for long-term placements, short-term cover, and project-based work. ESOs, medics, rescue operators, and emergency response coordinators, placed on mine sites, oil and gas facilities, and other remote projects across Australia.
We are a response company first, not a recruiter. Our people are selected by staff who have done the job themselves, which means we assess candidates on capability rather than a ticket list, and we know what a site actually needs when the callout comes at three in the morning.
Perth Training Facility
Our Cockburn facility is built for industrial rescue training rather than adapted for it. Confined space entry and rescue, a vertical rescue and work at heights structure, a gas fire prop for live firefighting, and dedicated space for vehicle extrication.
Scenarios run in conditions crews will recognise. Restricted access, heat, awkward angles, and equipment that behaves the way it does on site, because it is the same equipment we supply and the same equipment our own response teams carry.
Twenty minutes from Perth CBD with parking, classroom spaces, and amenities on site, so a crew can run theory and practical in the same day without moving between venues. Crews leave having done the job, not having watched it done.
Planning and Auditing
Emergency preparedness audits and emergency response planning, delivered against the standards and regulations that apply to your operation rather than a generic checklist. We audit what would actually happen. Response times, crew competency and currency, equipment condition and availability, muster and evacuation arrangements, and whether the emergency response plan on the shelf matches the way the site runs. Findings come back with a prioritised set of actions, not a list of non-conformances for someone else to interpret.
Where gaps exist, we can close them. Training, personnel, equipment and planning support all sit inside the ARG group, so a finding does not have to become another procurement exercise.
Leadership and Mentoring
Most sites can get their people trained. Fewer have a plan for what happens when the ERT captain leaves, or when the crew is made up of people who have all done the course but never run an incident. ARG works on the part that competency training does not cover. Developing team leaders and incident controllers, building mentoring arrangements so experience transfers rather than walks out the gate, and structuring succession so a capability does not rest on one or two individuals. That work is shaped around your site and your people rather than delivered as a fixed program.

OUR TEAM
ARG hires trainers and emergency response personnel who want to do the work properly. If you have field experience and you would rather use it than watch it go stale, we want to hear from you! Our people come from mine sites, brigades, the military, and industry response teams around the country. Different backgrounds, same standard: they have done the job, not just talked about it, and they keep their skills current because someone’s life may depend on it.
We are always interested in good people, whether or not a role is advertised.
